Six interwoven stories follow women navigating desire and unconventional relationships in varied settings.
The story
The film unfolds through several episodes centered on women in relationships marked by desire, infidelity, and sexual exploration. Cinzia’s honeymoon in Casablanca takes an unconventional turn, while Stefania responds to her television-news-anchor husband’s infidelity. In South Tyrol, waitress Katarina is persuaded by her boyfriend to entertain a customer’s advances, hoping the extra money will help them open a restaurant. Other stories follow Raffaella’s affairs, Anna’s experience in the libertine atmosphere of Cap d’Agde, and Rosy’s honeymoon in London, where she attracts the attention of a voyeur.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
The film is divided into several episodes: Cinzia celebrates her honeymoon in Casablanca with her husband, Gianni. He gives her the prize she has long desired: anal sex with a handsome Moroccan waiter. Stefania, the wife of a television news anchor, gives her husband a taste of his own medicine after he cheats on her with Erika; her lover is Bruno, a television director. Katarina, a woman from South Tyrol, is persuaded by her Neapolitan chef boyfriend, Ciro, to give in to the advances of Bertha, a German-speaking, sadomasochistic customer (whose husband is there with her and is also submissive) at the small guesthouse in South Tyrol where Katarina works as a waitress. The “extra” money will help her open a restaurant of her own with Ciro. Although she is still in love with her husband, Raffaella cheats on Ugo, passing off her numerous extramarital affairs as occasional fantasies meant to rekindle the desire of her obsessive spouse. After her husband discovers the truth about these affairs, he encourages his wife to keep cheating on him. Anna, from Bologna, swept up in the permissive, libertine atmosphere of the naturist-swinging town of Cap d’Agde, unreservedly gives Helen and her sarcastic Scottish husband, Noel, the paradise her presumptuous boyfriend has always denied her. Rosy, from the Veneto, is on her honeymoon in London, where she decides to dare and offer her charms to the lustful, yearning gaze of a curious English voyeur.
