Sensazioni d'amore (1990)

After her husband’s death, Elena Aloisi very much wants her son Renato to marry Giulia Franchi so that he can give her an heir, even though Renato unfortunately suffers from heart problems. He cannot have sex with his fiancée, since the strain could bring on a fatal attack. Despite this, Renato begins a secret affair with Claretta, the maid, while Giulia, unaware of everything, is also unfaithful to him with Dr. Gianmarco Serra, the doctor monitoring her fiancé’s health. After Gianmarco announces that Renato’s health has improved, preparations begin for Renato and Giulia’s imminent wedding. However, during a lunch to celebrate the forthcoming marriage, Francesca Lizzi, known as Franca, the villa’s housekeeper, catches Renato and Claretta in bed together but keeps it secret. Realizing the housekeeper is there, Renato seduces her too, to ensure her silence about the affair. Despite Elena’s sudden death, Renato decides to marry on the scheduled date to fulfill his mother’s wishes. One evening, Ernesto, Giulia’s brother, having already seduced the maid Elvira (who is in turn seduced by Gianmarco), tries the same with Claretta, but she refuses him. When Renato discovers Ernesto’s attempted assault, he intervenes to defend Claretta, kills Ernesto with a blunt object, and then flees. He goes to Giulia’s home and, after forcing her to have sex with him, kills her with a pair of scissors. He joins Claretta, and the two take refuge in a farmhouse they had visited before. A friar catches up with them and marries them, but Renato dies of a heart attack during sex. Claretta discovers that her new husband had previously changed his will, making her heir to the Aloisi family fortune, and learns from Gianmarco that she is pregnant, carrying the heir Elena had so desperately wanted.
