Both are trained in kung fu, but unlike the impulsive Fengyi, Han has been restrained ever since he was defeated by an opponent. The Manchu Ha Hebu opens the Kuai Lian Tong textile factory, which becomes a rival to Xing Fa Long. One day, a petty disagreement sparks a fight between Fengyi and his supervisor, Tan Dabao, giving a glimpse of Fengyi’s fighting skills. Ha Hebu has two assistants, Lun Intu and Yang, both skilled in martial arts. They beat up five workers from the rival factory, including the brother of a woman Guan Fengyi knows. The incident leads to a confrontation between workers from the two factories. Once again, Fengyi shows his skill, helping his supervisor, who then promotes him to senior worker. Intu and his accomplices attack the Xing Fa Long workers and kill Li Jia, one of the senior workers. Fengyi avenges his colleague by beating up Intu and his men. He, the owner of Xing Fa Long, rewards Fengyi with gold jewelry and a new house. To Huang Han’s dismay, Fengyi becomes “drunk” on his success.
