Full plot (contains spoilers)

After the death of the woman she believes to be her mother, Sina, a 30-year-old police officer from Hamburg, sets out to find her father. When she first meets her mother’s criminal ex-boyfriend, whom she believes to be her father, he eventually tells her that the woman who raised her abducted her from her biological parents when she was two days old, and that she has an identical twin sister named Sophie. Sina goes to Berlin, where Sophie works as a fashion designer and their biological parents live. The two sisters get along wonderfully. Sophie is about to marry David Müller, a former professional soccer player who now works in the management of a soccer club. But Sophie takes a short trip to Paris to visit her ex-boyfriend Xavier and, unexpectedly, does not return in time. Sina steps in for her to save the wedding. In Paris, Xavier, a director and notorious womanizer, pressures Sophie to give him a second chance. He even proposes to her. When she refuses, he drugs her with knockout drops and abducts her to their former love nest. After a while, she gives in and sleeps with him. Sophie tells him that he was the love of her life, but that she could no longer tolerate his escapades. Meanwhile, Sina is impersonating Sophie in Berlin. David is initially puzzled by Sophie’s change in character: until now, his fiancée had been a rather shy, elegant woman from the upper class, but now she swears, drives like a maniac, and drinks beer straight from the bottle. David, who had recently begun to have doubts about the wedding, likes this new side of her. Sina also develops feelings for him. Standing on the roof of the Olympic Stadium, he confesses to her that her background had often intimidated him. At the pre-wedding party, Sophie’s best friend, the only person in on the secret, helps Sina learn the guests’ names. After a boozy celebration, Sina sleeps with her future brother-in-law. When Sophie also fails to show up in time for the civil wedding, Sina marries David as Sophie. The deception is exposed at the wedding reception when Sina cannot bear to watch her mother’s ex-boyfriend, who knows her true identity, steal from the family through his catering business. David, deeply hurt, leaves the reception. Their biological mother collapses because of “the sudden appearance of her Marie” (the baby’s original name) and the chaos that has ensued, and has to be taken to hospital. There, Sina apologizes to the family. She then goes to find David at his regular Turkish restaurant to return her wedding ring to him, ashamed. He proposes to her. In the final scene, David and Sina have a wedding ceremony on the roof of the Olympic Stadium. The twin sisters’ family, Sophie, and Xavier are also there.
