Full plot (contains spoilers)

Julietta (Lavinia Wilson) is an 18-year-old student from Stuttgart who travels to Berlin with two friends (Julia Jentsch and Anne Ratte-Polle) and her boyfriend Jiri (Matthias Koeberlin) to party at the Love Parade. They dance, take drugs together, have sex, and eventually become separated by the celebrating crowd. While desperately searching for her boyfriend, Julietta loses consciousness as a result of the drugs. Max (Barnaby Metschurat), a DJ and would-be rescuer, finds her and carries her to a secluded spot. He is visibly taken with Julietta’s beauty and briefly loses control. While she is still unconscious, he rapes her. The next morning, she cannot remember what happened, and Max takes her back to her friends. Six weeks later, back home, Julietta realizes that she is pregnant. She immediately goes to Berlin to look for Jiri. There she runs into Max by chance; he has since become friends with Jiri. The two of them search for Jiri together, and Max once again proves to be Julietta’s “rescuer.” As they search for Jiri, they grow closer, but Julietta tries to suppress her feelings. Max, unable to get the guilt off his mind, confesses to Julietta what he did. Then, when Jiri also finds out about the pregnancy, dramatic confrontations ensue.
