The story
After many years away, lawyer Richard Bär returns to his old Bavarian home and faces his estranged father for the first time since leaving. In his professional capacity, he is asked to defend Anne Millner, who is in pretrial detention. She is alleged to have stabbed her boyfriend, Jonas Bernhuber, to death, and the murdered man’s father strongly implicates her.
