After the son of a powerful construction magnate is found dead, investigators uncover a connection to a fatal construction-project collapse.
The story
On January 1, Thomas Becker, son of a powerful construction magnate, is found dead. Inspector Barbara Falck and her colleague Christian Krämer connect the case to the collapse of the “Wohnwürfel” construction project, where one person was killed. Thomas had attended Alcoholics Anonymous to address his drinking problem and fell in love there with Karoline, who would do anything to protect her son. His half-brother Eric is also a murder suspect, with conspicuous jealousy of Thomas and efforts to win their father’s favor.

Inspector Barbara Falck and her colleague Christian Krämer soon uncover connections to the collapse of the “Wohnwürfel” construction project, in which one person was killed. Eric, Thomas’s half-brother, is another suspect in the murder. His jealousy of Thomas and his attempts to win their father’s favor were plain for all to see.
