In South Tyrol, Flo spends his vacation with his Aunt Cosima, who is also caring for her foster children, Kleo and Henri. The quick friendship that develops among the three children extends to Lassie as well, who finds an animal playmate in Pippa, a Jack Russell Terrier. However, mysterious events are unfolding in the Alps: an increasing number of dogs are going missing in a nearby town. The children and their animal companions decide to get to the bottom of the matter. After all, dog theft is clearly an unacceptable development.
