The story
Camille is offered a position of responsibility, shifting the balance of domestic work in her household: her husband Simon, a piano teacher, must take on more of the household duties. After visiting the National Museum of Natural History, Simon returns home to find an unexpected presence—a strange prehistoric man. The brief plot description establishes the change in Camille and Simon’s domestic arrangement and the surreal intrusion that follows, but provides no further details about who the stranger is or how the couple responds.
