Full plot (contains spoilers)
Sami Chérif (Jamel Debbouze) is a lazy man who lives on the margins of society in a housing estate in the Paris suburbs, torn between his childhood friends and his partner, Alice (Alice Belaïdi). She is expecting their first child. Because of this, Sami is forced to accept a job as a night security guard at a department store. Meanwhile, Philippe Étienne (Daniel Auteuil) is a businessman, heir to the Étienne dynasty and one of the richest men in France. Since his wife died a year earlier, this rather cold man has focused on his work. He remains quite guarded about his feelings. His only son, Alexandre, has also grown distant from his father. A loner, he has taken refuge in an imaginary world. He is also a spoiled child. For his birthday, Philippe has the department store’s toy department reserved for him. Although he can choose anything he wants, Alexandre wants only one thing: Sami. Nothing can make him change his mind.
