Full plot (contains spoilers)

Lotta returns to Schwielow and initially works as a doctor at the hospital. Because of her difficult relationship with her boss, she quits. After her father collapses and a notice of seizure is issued, she takes over his haulage company on the spur of the moment. At the bank, she meets the stern millionaire Mrs. Platow, who gives her a job. But when Lotta is asked to arrange for an employee to be dismissed, she lets the job fall through. Mrs. Platow is impressed nonetheless and leaves her the check. As another attempt to save the company, Lotta takes on the job of moving hospital furniture. Since the employees refuse to work without being paid, Lotta and her friend Maike ultimately have to finish the job on their own. Mrs. Platow proposes a challenging art-transport job. Lotta drives to Berlin with Erik, a longtime employee who cannot bring himself to leave his work behind. Together with several volunteers they pick up on the street, they load the artwork. But when Lotta’s father is admitted to intensive care, she quickly returns to the hospital. Her father soon begins to recover. After the truck carrying the painting is briefly thought to be lost, Lotta delivers the artwork to Mrs. Platow’s estate on time, and the company thus seems to be saved for the time being.
