Full plot (contains spoilers)
A couple—the young woman Maggie and Klaus, who is about twice her age—travel around in a camper van and stay at campgrounds. The man is domineering and controls his young partner. After Maggie seeks contact with another camper, she is forcibly taken away; Klaus beats the camper to death with a hammer. As they continue driving, Klaus beats to death a woman who was going to call the police. When a plainclothes police patrol approaches the parked camper van and finds a missing-person notice for a ten-year-old girl inside, Maggie runs into the arms of a policewoman. Klaus immediately knocks the officers down. One of them manages to get back up, and a shot is fired. Klaus collapses into Maggie’s arms and assures her that he loves her.
