When his wife leaves him to manage the household, a farmer discovers that his forgetful father may be facing a serious illness.
The story
Farmer Jürg is left to care for the children and his forgetful elderly father, Karli, after his wife Fränzi loses her temper and leaves for two weeks. As Jürg takes on the responsibility, he realizes that his father's memory problems are more than ordinary aging: Karli has Alzheimer’s disease. Jürg must find ways to get his father to cooperate, while confronting the demands of caregiving and family life.

Farmer Jürg can hardly believe it: his wife Fränzi loses her temper and leaves him to look after the children and his forgetful father, Karli, for two weeks. Jürg has no choice but to take charge. He soon realizes that Fränzi was right and that his elderly father is not simply getting older but has Alzheimer’s disease. Jürg faces the greatest challenge of his life, and he comes up with all sorts of ways to get his father to go along with him.
