A series of seemingly unrelated everyday and relationship stories unfold across Budapest.
The story
In Budapest, seemingly unrelated everyday and relationship stories unfold: an old man suddenly stops responding to his surroundings, while a girl with a prosthesis is watched by an unknown person as she trains in a park at night. Another girl attempts a digital detox and disappears without a trace, raising the question of whether she is in trouble or has staged her disappearance to get back at her ex-boyfriend. Elsewhere, a mysterious person runs down to a basement each evening to speak quietly to a cupboard, and a former drug addict faces an operation he is unlikely to survive.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
The film brings together various everyday and relationship stories from Budapest that at first glance have nothing in common: An old man who suddenly stops responding to his surroundings. A girl with a prosthesis is watched by an unknown person while training in a park at night. Another girl tries to go on a digital detox and then disappears without a trace. The question is whether she is really in trouble or whether her disappearance is staged simply to get back at her ex-boyfriend. A mysterious person runs down to a basement every evening and speaks quietly to a cupboard. A former drug addict is unlikely to survive an upcoming operation, but is at peace with himself and the world. A teenager tells his deeply religious mother that he does not believe in God. A girl led astray by pseudoscience murmurs the name of an unknown man on her deathbed.
