Full plot (contains spoilers)
At the North Pole, Santa Claus (dressed strictly in green) and his elves are busy preparing for Christmas. Unfortunately, during a routine inspection of the factory, the supervisor elf, Magnus, suddenly falls ill. Immediately, all the elves fall ill at the same time. Santa and his wife, Wanda Claus, investigate the illness. They discover that the cure seems to be Kakadu plum juice—or, more precisely, the vitamin C it contains. At his wife’s urging, Santa travels down to Earth in search of vitamin C to cure his elves. The search proves more difficult than expected. Santa has to make an emergency landing in Paris, where a visit to a pharmacy ends with his arrest. At the police station, he meets the lawyer Thomas, who has just gotten his brother Jay out of prison. Jay is a repeat offender and amateur magician. Santa manages to escape and follows Thomas to his home to beg him for help, just as Thomas and his wife, Amélie, are trying to get out of a family meal. After proving that he really is Santa Claus, Santa explains his situation to Thomas and Amélie. Thomas and his family help Santa obtain tubes of vitamin C by visiting every pharmacy in the city, while keeping Santa and his reindeer at the right temperature. Later, Jay is let in on the secret. Eventually, Amélie finds a way to get the missing vitamins from Amazon and suggests using Thomas’s savings for a motorcycle to pay for the order. After Santa repeatedly asks them to, Amélie and Thomas decide to go out, leaving their children, Maëlle and Mathis, in his care. Once the order arrives, Santa asks Jay to help load the vitamin C boxes into his magical sack. The next day, on Christmas Eve, Santa discovers that his sack has disappeared and blames Thomas, unaware that Jay has actually stolen it to use in a magic show at the birthday party of Tatyana, the daughter of a Russian millionaire. The magician makes Tatyana disappear into the magical sack but cannot get her back out. He has no choice but to flee. While walking through the city, Santa has a vision showing him that the world has lost its joy and that the North Pole, Wanda, and Santa himself will disappear if he does not deliver the presents. He wakes up in a cell after the police find him, and tries to escape again, but his powers are beginning to fade. Thomas finds Jay, and the two brothers go to the police station, where they find a deeply depressed Santa who refuses to go with them. Jay decides to force him into his sack, then runs away. Thomas manages to convince Santa to bring Tatyana back, then contacts Amélie so she can guide the reindeer with the help of the children. Back at the North Pole with Thomas’s family, Santa discovers that the vitamins are no longer in his sack. However, Wanda shows him Maëlle and Mathis’s letters, in which they placed a vitamin C tablet. Curing just one elf has caused all the others to recover. Santa loads the gifts, now made, into his sack so he can begin delivering them with Thomas’s family, before taking them back home. Once his delivery is complete, Santa and Wanda decide to go on vacation and explore the world. Since they were unable to invite them to the Christmas Eve meal, Amélie’s family is still waiting for them to join them for the New Year’s meal.
