Full plot (contains spoilers)
Ángela (Maribel Verdú) and her son Guille (Víctor Valdivia) arrive at a hospital in Madrid, where her father had been admitted with a sudden illness, and are told that he has died. There, they meet Charo (Blanca Portillo), the deceased man’s mistress, who reveals that Leo’s business is not at all profitable: he owns a billiards hall with seven French billiards tables. After returning, Ángela learns from a friend and colleague of her husband (José Luis García Pérez) that her husband had disappeared and was leading a double life. To support his second family, he had been involved in corruption at the police station where he worked. Ángela decides to return to the big city and reopen her father’s business.
