For Christmas, a lonely, wealthy man hires actors to embody the perfect family he has always wanted.
The story
A powerful, middle-aged man is deeply lonely despite his wealth. For the Christmas holidays, he hires a company of actors to play the perfect family he has always dreamed of having, for a couple of days. He gives them a script he has written, setting up a performance alongside the real events of their time together. As the holiday unfolds, the boundary between the script and reality begins to blur: the actors gradually depart from their assigned parts, while real life intrudes on the fiction and puts each role in question.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
A powerful middle-aged man suffers greatly from his loneliness despite his wealth. So, for the Christmas holidays, he decides to hire a company of actors to play the “perfect family” he has always dreamed of having for a couple of days. The story unfolds on two levels: one real, and the other following a script written by the protagonist and given to the actors. But little by little the two levels become blurred, and the script is gradually disregarded: reality intrudes into fiction, and every role is continually called into question, until the final revelation that gives meaning to the whole story.
