The story
Anna Bettini, nicknamed Annabì, is an actress known for a television series whose fear of flying costs her an opportunity to land a part in a Korean film. Her agent, Mariolina, helps replace her with Elena Sofia Ricci. The same day, Anna’s daughter Serena tells her that she has come off Stanford’s waitlist, news she had kept from Anna because of her fear of flying—a fear Anna regrets not having passed on to her daughter. Expecting Serena to say no, Anna asks if she would like Anna to accompany her to California. Serena responds joyfully, leaving Anna in despair.

Anna Bettini (nicknamed Annabì), an actress famous for a television series, loses a great opportunity to land a part in a Korean film because of her fear of flying, and is replaced by Elena Sofia Ricci thanks to Mariolina, Anna’s agent. That same day, her daughter Serena tells her that she has been taken off the waitlist at Stanford, but that she hadn’t told Anna because of Anna’s fear of flying—a fear the actress regrets not having passed on to her daughter. One evening, however, expecting a negative answer, Anna asks Serena whether she would like Anna to accompany her to California. Instead, Serena responds joyfully, and Anna falls into despair. Unwilling to go back on her promise, Anna signs up for a course at Fiumicino Airport to overcome her fear…
