Full plot (contains spoilers)

The film is divided into three parts—desayuno (Spanish for breakfast), comida (Spanish for lunch), and cena (Spanish for dinner)—and depicts one complete fictional day. The street musician Edu unexpectedly runs into Sol, his longtime crush. Despite having a child and a husband, Teo, she invites Edu to her home for a meal for just the two of them. Spasek, a Macedonian driven from his homeland by the loss of his longtime girlfriend, has ended up in Santiago de Compostela. Throughout the film, Vladimir Torres prepares breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the hope that a certain Laura will show up. Two friends, Fran and Tuto, spend the day after a long night of drinking and meet Vladimir at his home for breakfast. Later, Vladimir’s cousin Lucas joins them; he spent the night with Nuria. He has hopes of a relationship with her, but Nuria is actually involved with the older Víctor, who does not give her what her heart desires. In the morning, businessman Juan meets Ana, a waitress, over coffee and a croissant in a bar, and promptly takes her to eat at his brother Víctor’s place. Víctor and Sergio, whom he presents as his roommate but who is actually his partner, host them for dinner, where the brothers get into an argument. Siblings Rosana and Mar also argue, because Rosana dreams of singing in a chapel and may therefore leave the restaurant they run together. There is also disagreement between the chapel’s leaders, José and his son (NAME); they cannot agree on the ensemble’s musical direction. Later, the two of them and Rosana experience a wonderful surprise, followed by a very unpleasant one. Unmoved by world events, an older, taciturn couple peacefully sit down to all three meals. mini|Director Jorge Coira (left) in an interview (2012). mini|Actor Luis Tosar (2012), who played Edu. mini|Actor Juan Carlos Vellido (2007), who played Juan. mini|Actress Cristina Brondo (2010), who played Nuria.
