When two former almost-lovers unexpectedly cross paths on the way to Rome, their guardian angels must help them reach their destinations—while one angel tries to keep them apart.

The story

In a world where guardian angels watch over people invisibly, Paul and Léa meet by chance and feel a mutual attraction, but Raphaëlle, Paul’s angel, intervenes to separate them. Ten years later, Raphaëlle is close to promotion to archangel, contingent on Paul marrying Chloé in Rome as planned. A transport strike in France threatens his arrival, and at the airport Paul unexpectedly encounters Léa, who is travelling to Rome to be with her seriously ill father. Léa’s guardian angel, Gaby, suggests that she and Raphaëlle cooperate to get the humans to their destinations, but Raphaëlle agrees only if they prevent Paul and Léa from rekindling their relationship.
