Bonjour Michel (2005)

After a series of dismal failures in his attempts to kill himself, Michele Terranova is struck by the grim idea of hiring a killer with the help of a mafioso, who does not realize that the note he receives bears the name of the very person who commissioned the killing. Michele Terranova now wanders around the city, waiting for a hitman to put an end to his inner anguish, but nothing happens. His only encounter is not with death but with life, embodied by Marie Anne, a young French woman on the run. Their union, brought about by fate, makes Michele give up his desire to die. He decides to help the girl, and so the noble Sicilian returns to his mafioso acquaintance to revoke the order, but by then it is too late. Michele and Marie Anne then decide to embark on a new escape together.
