Full plot (contains spoilers)
Twenty-five-year-old Thomas has never recovered from the disappearance of his parents and those of his friend Anne during a hike in the Alps. Financially comfortable, Thomas is the son of parents who came of age in the upheavals of 1968, and as a result leads a life without illusions alongside Caroline, an older woman and the mother of seven-year-old Grégoire. When Caroline dies accidentally, the authorities place the child in a care home and refuse to let Thomas take custody of him. Little Grégoire wants nothing more than to live with Thomas, but the latter, traumatized and in complete disarray, promises to take steps to adopt him while losing himself in debauchery. To keep his promise, Thomas will have to go to extremes by abducting Grégoire and then taking refuge with his dear friend Anne. Fate seems to repeat the tragic story of Thomas and Anne when she falls to her death in the heights of Ibiza, where the trio had retreated.
