The story

Their wealthy Aunt Bertille dies, and her nephew and nieces Paul, Nicolas, and Charlotte expect to inherit her fortune. Instead, she leaves it all to Éloïse, a wealthy distant cousin of their age whom they have not seen in years and who was their childhood punching bag. Éloïse offers to help them financially if they bring her worthwhile projects to invest in. With their lives seeming dreary and without a future, the siblings try to win her over so they can get as much money from her as possible.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Aunt Bertille (Anémone), a very wealthy woman, has just died. Her nephew and niece Paul (Yannik Landrein), Nicolas (Baptiste Lecaplain) and Charlotte (Margot Bancilhon), all in their thirties and from the same family, have always thought they would inherit from her. Their lives are dreary and seem to have no future, so they are eagerly looking forward to the money. However, the reading of the will brings a major surprise: Aunt Bertille has left her entire fortune and possessions to Éloïse (Julia Piaton), a distant cousin who is already wealthy, the same age as them, and already a childless widow. They had not seen her in a long time, and she had been their childhood punching bag. She agrees to help them financially if, she tells them, they bring her worthwhile projects in which she can invest. The siblings’ only hope is to win this cousin over so they can get as much money out of her as possible. After a night of heavy drinking, Nicolas sleeps with Éloïse, who funds only his project. Feeling at last that he is master of his own destiny, Nicolas begins to take charge of the siblings, a role that his older brother Paul had assumed since childhood, after their father’s death. A whole series of upheavals follows (breakups, arguments...). How far will Éloïse go in pulling the strings of her revenge? Is that really what she wants, though? Perhaps she is simply lonely and dreams of becoming part of the family again for good. There is only one way to do that.
