Full plot (contains spoilers)

Serge Benamou, a penniless delivery boy who still lives with his parents in a public housing complex, falls madly in love with the beautiful Chochana Boutboul, the adored daughter of the fabulously wealthy businessman Maurice Boutboul. He first meets her in the street, when she mistakes him for the hotel valet where she has an appointment, and later at a wedding where he delivers a package. He courts her by pretending to be a wealthy businessman. To keep up the illusion, he moves into the luxurious home of his cousin Patrick Abitbol while Patrick is away on business in the United States, along with Dov, who has been kicked out by Karine following yet another extramarital affair. Serge makes use of Patrick’s wardrobe, cars, and so on. And to impress Chochana and spend money he doesn’t have, he agrees to work for the Journo brothers, a group of mobsters, and launder their money—something his cousin had strictly forbidden him to do. But he does more than launder it: he spends all their money, not just his commission. Following a scam by Eurodiscount involving clothing sizes, they reject all the merchandise. During the lawsuit Eddie brings against Eurodiscount, which he loses, he realizes that the expert is actually an employee of the hypermarket. Later, Eddie discovers that Eurodiscount has copied and adopted his design, a little rabbit. Ruined and embittered, he decides to get revenge and asks Patrick Abitbol for help; Patrick’s financial resources will allow him to mount a major scam against Eurodiscount. To pull it off, Patrick must first gain Vierhouten’s trust and persuade him to buy from supposed high-quality suppliers based in Tunisia, with Dov playing the company’s owner. In reality, an old building and extras recruited from the local population will make the place look convincing when Vierhouten visits. Serge Benamou, who has begged Eddie to let him join the scheme so he can earn enough to repay the furious Journo brothers, as well as win the heart of his beloved and her parents, plays the role of an Uzbek buyer demanding exclusive rights to the merchandise, thereby forcing Vierhouten to outbid him far beyond reason. Vierhouten eventually uncovers the “huge” scam when the parcels arrive, but it is too late. The film ends with Serge’s wedding.
