The story

In Brussels, Jean-Pierre is a young actor under contract with a theater company, where he more or less plays the leading young man. His girlfriend Anne is gentle and calm, dreaming of a quiet life and children together. Jean-Pierre, however, is unmoved by the life Anne imagines. He sets out to find his childhood friend Alain, who is with a traveling troupe in the south of France. There he meets Juliette, a dancer with the Nice Opera who resembles Anne but has a very different nature. Faced with these two contrasting women, Jean-Pierre is deeply unsettled.
