Full plot (contains spoilers)
In a village in the heart of the Morvan, Nico (Clovis Cornillac) is one of the area’s last two veterinarians and throws himself into saving his patients. When Michel (Michel Jonasz), his partner and mentor, decides to leave, Nico is more than worried, because he thinks he won’t be able to keep up. But Michel tells him he’s found his future replacement in the person of Alexandra “Alex” (Noémie Schmidt), his niece. The catch: Alexandra graduated only yesterday, hates interacting with people, and has no intention of returning to the little village where she grew up.
