Full plot (contains spoilers)

Tresette, a phenomenal yet peaceful gunslinger, arrives in “Mela Bacata,” where he learns that they are looking for a brave man to transport a million dollars’ worth of gold through a valley infested with bandits. Together with Bamby, a fake sheriff and an old acquaintance of his, he agrees to transport the gold to Dallas. By disguising the stagecoach as a peddler’s wagon, he repeatedly manages to escape the bandits’ ambushes, though not always without getting his hands dirty. The first gang lets him pass, mistaking him for a peddler; the second gang is fooled too, while the men in the third gang recognize Tresette but are nevertheless overpowered in hand-to-hand combat. Only the last gang remains, Aureola Joe and his men, but after trying to trick Tresette, they get soundly beaten as well. When they reach Dallas, however, Tresette and Bamby risk being hanged because the gold is actually lead dusted with gold glitter. After escaping from prison, they realize they have been swindled by the banker McPearson and slip into a masquerade ball hosted by the banker himself. Sneaking into McPearson’s office, Tresette discovers the banker’s shady dealings with Miss Marlene, the owner of the saloon as well as a pastry shop in town. McPearson gets the gold out of the United States and into Mexico by hiding it in the pastry shop’s packages. Once they learn the truth, Tresette and Bamby go to the pastry shop, where preparations for shipping the packages are being completed, and after a brawl they manage to take the gold and escape. Throughout the film, Tresette is also constantly pursued by the gunslinger Veleno, who wants to challenge and kill him at any cost; each time, Tresette comes up with imaginative stratagems or complicated arguments to get rid of him.
