The story
Klaus Koska is a sensitive, conformist auditor living under a European fascist regime. During a Kafkaesque journey through black-and-white images, he witnesses a political murder. Instead of remaining merely a witness, Klaus becomes the subject of false suspicion and is targeted by a surveillance state hostile to humanity. As the regime’s henchmen pursue him and want him dead, he undertakes a flight both inward and outward in an effort to escape the system.

During a Kafkaesque journey through black-and-white images, the film tells the story of Klaus Koska, a sensitive, conformist auditor who witnesses a political murder in a European fascist regime of the past and then, of all things, becomes the subject of false suspicion himself. Targeted by a surveillance state that despises humanity, the witness embarks on a flight both inward and outward to escape the system’s henchmen, who want him dead.
