Full plot (contains spoilers)
Brigitte, of 73 Florentiner Street, is torn between two men: Klaus, the biological but very ambitious father of her little daughter Josefinchen, and her roommate, Wolfgang, a sensitive medical student to whom she is attracted. With the energetic help of the other residents, above all Mother Klucke, who gives things a strong push along, only love matters. In the end, Brigitte and Wolfgang get married. Mother Klucke says, “In marriage, there is always something to repair, just as in an old house. But if you take care of it, it is like heaven on earth.”
