The bird leads him to a mysterious man who introduces himself as Death and takes him on a final, eventful tour through nighttime Berlin. Full plot (contains spoilers)

Juri is a hypochondriac. When a black raven in a dream chases him and threatens to peck his heart out of his chest, it gives him palpitations, and he Googles the symptoms of a heart attack. The mysterious bird from his dreams leads him into the clutches of an even more mysterious man, who introduces himself as Death and accompanies Juri on his final eventful tour through nighttime Berlin. First, they ride their bikes together to a nightclub where the woman of Juri’s dreams works—but not before taking a detour to a go-kart track and playing a round of Russian roulette there to get the money they need to visit the club. Once they arrive, the object of Juri’s desire puts down her book while reading on a revolving platform and is about to strip and pose for him behind the glass. When Juri tries to start a conversation with her, she explains that she doesn’t usually chat with customers; she just lets them look at her. Even so, they get talking, and she introduces herself as Nina. Death steals the car belonging to the Butterfly Man, who is also a customer at the nightclub, and now the three of them drive through the night together. At first, Nina is skeptical of the two men, especially the strange man with the Slavic accent. But because Death knows so much about her—including that her friend Betty has died, and intimate details about her rituals—she begins to trust him. Juri is supposed to communicate with Betty’s spirit, so they visit the Korean medium once again. During the rest of their tour, Nina tells Juri why she likes working at night so much, and he plays his music for her. The three of them climb over the entrance gate of a zoo, where many birds roam freely. Juri seems to see something special in a crowned crane, so they put the bird in the car and drive on. Death explains to them that things aren’t so simple, and that someone still has to leave this life tonight. Juri wants to overcome this fate with love. All three of them are supposed to kiss. At first, Death and Nina are reluctant, but eventually their mouths and tongues meet in a three-way kiss. Death leaves them behind and dies in their arms, and Juri and Nina hold him like that until morning.
