Ricco the Mean Machine (1973)

Gaspare Aversi, who is involved in shady dealings, is killed by Don Vito, who takes over his Mafia organization. His son Rico, who ends up in prison for trying to avenge his father, Gaspare, serves two years and is urged by his mother to try again. Having joined forces with Cirano, a former friend of Gaspare’s who later went to work for Don Vito, Rico steals five hundred million and a shipment of diamonds, the proceeds of a deal between the boss and a man from Marseille. After managing to survive Cirano’s betrayal—he wants the whole haul for himself—and the Marseille man’s revenge, Rico confronts the boss in his lair and kills him along with his henchmen. Before this, to lure Rico into a trap, Don Vito has had Rico’s mother, sister, and brother-in-law killed. Rico then dies from the gunshot wounds he sustained in the shootout.
