Full plot (contains spoilers)
After living at the lighthouse with Niki for eight months, Alex buys them a new home in Rome, and they move in as soon as they have finished furnishing it. During this time, a lot changes in the lives of Alex’s friends: Susanna catches Pietro in bed with the doctor, discovers that he has been cheating on her, and separates from him. Enrico is also left by his wife and is left alone with his daughter Ingrid, to whom he devotes almost all his time. Finally, the crisis and lack of communication in Flavio and Cristina’s relationship begin to become clear. Among the O.N.D.E., Niki’s friends, Olly spends much of the day doing an internship at a fashion house, while Erika, in a period of emotional confusion, carries on several relationships with different men at the same time. Diletta, meanwhile, discovers that she is pregnant with Filippo’s child. Soon after moving in, the two lovers host a dinner for their friends. The next morning, Niki, who is enrolled at university, leaves home for class, leaving her laptop open. Alex notices it and checks her chat messages, discovering that she is receiving messages from various friends. At university, Niki meets a young man named Guido, who is passionate about poetry. Jealous after discovering the chat messages, Alex decides to ask Niki to marry him. He surprises her by taking her to Paris, where he proposes to her over dinner. She is happy and says yes. After making their engagement official by introducing their respective families to one another—though not without problems—at Alex’s family estate, they begin planning the wedding. Niki starts working on the wedding alongside Alex’s sisters, but she soon dislikes the way her two future sisters-in-law want to decide every aspect of the ceremony. She complains to Alex, but after several attempts, and after also arguing with her three friends, she is suddenly overcome by a deep fear of marriage and decides to leave Alex with a letter. Depressed, Alex moves into his friend Pietro’s house, where Flavio and Enrico have also moved in, along with Enrico’s daughter. Niki begins seeing Guido, and after meeting Alex to talk things through, tells him that their relationship is over. She then leaves for Ibiza with her friends and Guido. After realizing that he does not want to lose Niki, Alex decides to go all the way to Ibiza to find her. Interrupting a concert on the beach, he climbs onto the stage and apologizes to Niki. She realizes that Alex is the person she truly loves and, leaving Guido behind, joins him onstage. At last, the two get married in an outdoor ceremony.
