Full plot (contains spoilers)
After living lavishly on her father’s money, 68-year-old Noyet inherits an apartment building in central Stockholm. She returns to her homeland from the sunny south, but instead of finding things in good order, she discovers complete chaos: the building is in a sorry state, the tenants have problems with their paperwork, and no one wants to take care of the place. Her brother and his son, who are prone to other extravagances, neglect their responsibilities for maintaining the building. Noyet seeks advice from her old friend Lex, a family lawyer and music producer who is in the midst of organizing a celebration for the homeless. He suggests selling the building to a real estate agent. At first, the proposal seems appealing, since it could secure Noyet’s future, but her inheritance increasingly becomes a curse.
