A wife burdened by debts seizes on a vampire’s marital crisis, while his witch wife fights to preserve their centuries-old marriage.
The story
Vladimiro, a vampire, and Brunilde, a witch, are caught up in the disappearance of Nando, whose reported death beneath quick-setting reinforced concrete has brought together two families: the human family of his daughter Luna and the monster family of her husband, Adalberto. As the relatives grieve, Nando’s wife Stella is left with debts. Seeking a way to settle them, she takes advantage of a marital crisis between Vladimiro and Brunilde, hoping to win the vampire’s affection and displace his wife. Brunilde, however, is determined to preserve their centuries-old marriage.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
The vampire Vladimiro and the witch Brunilde are dealing with the disappearance of Nando, Adalberto’s father-in-law, who died beneath a pour of quick-setting reinforced concrete. The tragedy has brought together the two families: Luna’s human family—she is Nando’s daughter—and the family of monsters to which her husband Adalberto belongs. All the relatives are devastated by the loss, but they have no idea where Nando really is: he did not end up in the afterlife, but in a distant tax haven. The only person who knows the truth is his wife, Stella, whom he left with not a penny to her name and a string of debts she has to pay off. Looking for a way to settle her husband’s various “debts,” Stella takes advantage of the marital crisis between her in-law Vladimiro and his wife Brunilde. She intends to make her way into the vampire’s heart and oust the witch, but Brunilde is ready to do anything to save her centuries-old marriage.
