Vorstadtrocker (2015)

Viktor used to be a journalist at a major investigative magazine in Hamburg. But ever since his daughter was born, he has retreated into the role of househusband. His wife, Alex, provides for the family. When his loud neighbor Rolf moves in next door, Viktor sees his chance: he recognizes him as the brutal rocker “Tooth Fairy” Rolf Olsen. After a break-in, he is certain and persuades his former editor-in-chief to run an exposé. But the editor wants proof, so Viktor befriends the rocker. After a night of heavy drinking on the Reeperbahn, he has secretly filmed enough evidence. Rolf sends the prostitute Kendi to Viktor’s house without telling him. But she gets the time wrong, and Alex walks in and leaves Viktor. Furious, Viktor reveals his real motives and rushes to his editor-in-chief with a faked video showing Rolf shooting someone. But during their conversation, he has second thoughts and swallows the USB stick. Meanwhile, Rolf has been trying to get Alex to return to Viktor. Viktor wants to explain to Rolf that he no longer has anything to fear from him, but Rolf has much bigger concerns. He is actually in witness protection because he plans to testify against his old gang. If Viktor figures out who he is, others might be able to do so too. After making up with Alex and having sex, Viktor realizes that the man who helped Rolf move was the bar owner from the Reeperbahn. He puts two and two together, and he and Alex set out to rescue Rolf. Alex pretends to be the new stripper, distracting the villains. Viktor manages to free Rolf, but the rocker gang boss is already there to make an example of him. In the ensuing shootout, Kendi finally manages to take out the gang boss. Afterwards, Viktor and Alex have dinner with Rolf and his wife, Janine.
