The story

Paul and Anna have been a happy couple for 30 years, though their relationship is shadowed by a major lie Paul has kept. As a teenager, Paul loved Anna, but she loved his classmate Georg. Paul made a pact with Georg that forced him to move away so Paul could have Anna to himself; Georg agreed on the condition that he would someday return for her. Thirty years later, Georg comes back and becomes Paul’s new boss. Paul now has two children with Anna and is unwilling to give up his family easily, as the old promise brings past choices into the present.
