After a stranger claims to come from the near future, Benoît tries to protect his sister from a predicted fatal accident.
The story
Maryse lives an ordinary suburban life with her partner, Alain, until an accident at work—in which an arm is severed—makes her question their relationship. Her brother Benoît lives with their widowed, ailing father and is also trying to form a bond with a single mother, though her child seems to dislike him. Then a stranger approaches Benoît and claims to have traveled from six or seven months in the future. He warns that Maryse will soon suffer a fatal accident during a winter storm and advises that she not leave. When Maryse decides to go to the family cottage, Benoît chooses to accompany her, keeping his encounter with the stranger secret.

Maryse lives an ordinary life in the suburbs with her partner, Alain. She is shaken by an accident at her workplace in which an arm is severed, leading her to question her relationship. Her brother Benoît, meanwhile, lives with their ailing father, who has been widowed for five years, and tries to build a relationship with a single mother whose child seems to have taken a dislike to him. One day, a man approaches Benoît, claiming to come from the near future—six or seven months from now. He warns him that his sister will soon have a fatal accident during a winter storm, and thinks it would be important for her not to leave. So, when his sister decides to go to the family cottage, Benoît decides to accompany her without telling her about the encounter he had.
