Full plot (contains spoilers)
Julien dreams of opening a restaurant with his best friend Étienne, a chef who is as inventive as he is misunderstood. A major Parisian investment bank, Berthin-Schwartz, where he has worked as a maître d’hôtel for 17 years of loyal service, cynically refuses him a loan. By overhearing conversations that enable him to make lucrative stock-market trades—which amount to insider trading—he takes advantage of the opportunity with his friend, and soon the whole neighborhood joins them. Will he know when to stop in time?
