The story

Fontaine Leglou works nights as an anesthesiologist at a private psychiatric clinic in Paris. Though her partner Michel loves her and wants to be with her, Fontaine has numerous affairs. When Michel proposes, she tries by every means to avoid giving him an answer. At the same time, she is increasingly attracted to Philippe, a patient admitted to the clinic for a psychiatric disorder. The setup places Fontaine between her partner’s commitment and her growing interest in a patient, as she delays making a decision about the proposal.
