Maman ne me laisse pas m'endormir (2022)

At the Notre-Dame de Bellegare boarding school, young Joseph becomes addicted to medication. His mother, Juliette, discovers his addiction and, in agreement with her ex-husband Vincent and her current partner Paul, first decides to have Joseph see a psychiatrist, then to admit him to a detoxification center. Joseph cannot cope with the center, where he is confronted with very difficult cases, including heroin addicts with aggressive behavior. He therefore does not complete his treatment, but overcomes his addiction with the help of his mother Juliette, his brother Max, his father Vincent, who experienced the same problems in his youth, and even his stepfather Paul, who does everything he can to develop a bond with him. He even attends Narcotics Anonymous meetings successfully, until he makes a fateful encounter there that will lead to a fatal outcome.
