Full plot (contains spoilers)

Bruno De Santis, a successful television host, has been left by his wife, Sofia. One day, he decides to call her and convince her to come back, but his telephone is broken. By a strange twist of fate, he ends up at the home of three women, Vera, Simona, and Betty, who, tired of their respective husbands and boyfriends, live together and run a boutique. They take pity on him, pamper him, and even put him up in their apartment. And so Bruno gradually becomes the sultan of their little harem. However, tired of his increasingly demanding behavior, the three women decide one day to leave, renting out both the apartment and the boutique (and leaving him a note saying “thank you”), and resume seeing other men. Desperate over their departure, Bruno slips into the apartment of two elderly women who are about to sit down to dinner. He asks to use the telephone to call his psychiatrist, but cannot reach him. While waiting for a call back (he has left his number with the doctor’s secretary), and claiming he isn’t hungry, he discovers that their cook and maid is a beautiful young woman, and decides to accept the invitation.
