Plötzlich Schwester (2026)

Sandra, a full-time stickler for rules, has everything under control—at least until her maid of honor drops out shortly before her perfectly organized dream wedding, and her father, Gerd, unexpectedly dies. The shock hits both her and her mother, Monika, hard, but things get worse: for 30 years, Gerd led a secret double life and leaves behind another daughter—Sandy. Chaotic, tacky, and loud, but quite lovable, Sandy appoints herself Sandra’s new maid of honor and sets out, together with her flamboyant mother, Gabi, to win the heart of her new half-sister. To that end, the two even move into Gerd’s camper, which is parked in the front yard of Monika’s house. For control freak Sandra and her mother, Monika, a turbulent battle now begins against an impending wedding disaster—and against two new family members who simply refuse to disappear. Only when Sandra’s wedding is literally reduced to rubble and ashes does she realize that life cannot be controlled, and that all she needed was not the perfect dream wedding, but a sister like Sandy.
