Full plot (contains spoilers)
Vincenzo “Carlito” Briganti is a complex person, an aesthete who is proud to be Italian. He owns many old Fiat 500s in every color and a supermarket chain. Marco and Andrea are inseparable friends, both connected to Penelope: she is Andrea’s sister and Marco’s ex. One August afternoon in nearly deserted Turin, the two friends are in their car, discussing Penelope’s impending marriage to her fiancé, Norberto. Marco, who is driving, has not been invited and, as he struggles to convince his friend that he does not care, ends up driving straight into Carlito’s 500. Now the two of them are in Carlito’s debt, and he makes them an offer: they must transport an Easter egg from Turin to Torre del Greco. Penelope and Chanel, an eighty-year-old French woman who is Andrea’s flame, join them on the journey.
