Undici giorni, undici notti 2 (1990)

After getting married and separating soon afterward, Sarah Asproon is summoned back to New Orleans as the executor of the will of Lionel Durrington, her recently deceased former lover and a member of Louisiana’s wealthiest family. She is tasked with determining, within eleven days, which of the four heirs is the only one worthy of receiving the enormous estate, whose amount has not yet been specified. Sarah soon discovers that all four are desperately in need of money for different reasons, and manages to seduce three of them. But when she turns to the fourth, Sonny, and performs a striptease for him in public at a strip club, she discovers that the rumors about his impotence are true. Thanks to Dana, Sarah also learns that Sonny’s condition began after he saw his former girlfriend, Francis, drugged and abused in front of him by Alfred. At the same time, Alfred is conspiring with other family members, including Sonny’s own wife, to have Sonny committed to an institution for the treatment of impotence. Fortunately, Sarah learns of the plot, disguises herself as Francis, and finally succeeds in seducing Sonny as well, bringing about his complete recovery. She reveals her true identity to him only at the end. When the time comes to make a decision before the will is read, Sarah must announce the name of the sole heir. She has decided that none of them deserves the estate and would have chosen to donate it to charity; instead, she proposes that the amount specified in the will be divided among all the heirs, provided they first sign a release authorizing the publication of a book revealing the family’s unspeakable secrets. Faced with the possibility that someone might oppose the proposal, they all unanimously agree to sign. The subsequent reading of the will reveals that the estate amounts to a full $500 million, half of which is bequeathed to the family members and the other half to someone whose identity is unknown to them. Finally, Sarah visits Lionel’s grave and discovers that he had actually faked his death, assuming the identity of the beneficiary of the other half of the estate, and had used her to start his life over completely.
