The story
Harald Westphal, a widowed father raising three daughters alone, balances family life as his eldest spends a year in Australia on an internship and Marla faces her final school exams. He trains his youngest, Flo, in track and field. Then he learns that 17-year-old Marla is pregnant by a young Finnish musician; at the same time, his partner Sabine is expecting a baby with him, leaving Harald confronted with two impending additions to an already demanding household.

Harald Westphal is a widowed father raising three daughters on his own. While his eldest daughter is spending a year in Australia on an internship, his second daughter, Marla, is caught up in the stress of her final school exams. A former Bundeswehr soldier, Harald trains his youngest daughter, Flo, in track and field. When he learns that his 17-year-old daughter Marla is pregnant by a young Finnish musician, his world falls apart. On top of that, his new partner, Sabine, is also expecting a baby with him. Harald decides to take on the upbringing of both babies, even though he is overwhelmed by the prospect. Meanwhile, his youngest daughter, Flo, feels neglected and sets out on her own to find an adoptive family.
