Bankraub für Anfänger (2012)

Jürgen Wolf is a customer adviser at a branch of Bado Bank in a village where everyone knows everyone. He has sold certificates from the American Kosak Group to many of his customers, who are also his friends. When the group goes bankrupt, the investors lose everything. Since his bank is not liable, and he realizes the devastating consequences of the bad investment, he decides to get the customers’ money back himself. He gets a pistol from Victor, a criminal, and robs his bank during a lunch break. During the robbery, his colleague Rosalie falls in love with the bank robber. Jürgen has Victor launder the stolen money, then distributes it to his customers in anonymous envelopes. Detective Inspector Frank Lamm begins investigating the bank robber. He first suspects the other investors, then Jürgen Wolf, but he cannot prove Jürgen’s guilt. Victor threatens Jürgen and demands more money from him, but Jürgen refuses to be blackmailed. Thanks to a diversion staged by Rosalie, Victor’s car is improperly repaired at the village gas station, causing him to crash afterward. The inspector does not believe Jürgen when he makes a final confession. At the end of the film, Jürgen and Rosalie resign.
