Cours privé (1986)

Jeanne Kern teaches history at a coeducational private school. Willingly provocative, she is well aware of the effect she has on men. The high school students, especially Mademoiselle Zanon, who has just arrived at the school, her colleagues, and even the principal, Bruno Ketti, are all captivated by her. The latter even feels an irrational passion for the young woman. One day, an anonymous letter denouncing Jeanne’s lesbian lifestyle lands on Ketti’s desk. The letters keep coming, soon followed by compromising photos of orgies, sent to the principal, the teachers, and the students’ parents. In the pictures, the face of one of the naked young women has been cut out, and everything suggests that the unknown woman is none other than Jeanne. She is now the focus of everyone’s attention and has to face the scandal. In this awkward situation, amid Ketti’s insistent advances, the students’ mockery, and the parents’ complaints, she wins the sympathy of Laurent, the mathematics teacher.
