A weary traveler waits for his hosts at a Sardinian guesthouse, then tries to impress one of them by improving the property.
The story
After a long journey, Jonathan Fischer hopes to rent a room at a guesthouse on Sardinia, near Lake Coghinas by Oschiri. The two innkeepers, Annabella and Isabella, are away, so he must wait several hours; when he can finally check in, he is faced with a long, intrusive questionnaire. In the following days, Jonathan meets his fourteen-year-old daughter Jade and falls in love with Annabella. Hoping to impress her, he begins beautifying the property with new buildings and a large pond.

Exhausted from a long journey, Jonathan Fischer wants to rent a room at a guesthouse on Sardinia, by Lake Coghinas near Oschiri. However, the two innkeepers, Annabella and Isabella, are not there, so Jonathan has to wait a few hours. When he can finally check in, he has to fill out a long, intrusive questionnaire. In the days that follow, he meets his daughter Jade, who is now fourteen, and also falls in love with Annabella. To impress her, he sets about beautifying the property with new buildings and a large pond. Their paradise-like existence is abruptly disrupted when a god kills himself and a princess is shot dead. Searching for the murderer, police comb the property. At the same time, construction workers start work on the pond with jackhammers, excavators, and trucks, as if nothing had happened. Isabella and Annabella agree to bury the dead person at the bottom of the pond. Annabella and Jonathan eventually celebrate their wedding aboard a boat.
