Stéphane’s fondness for his daughters’ prospective husbands complicates matters when Alexia wants to leave Thomas for a young doctor.
The story
Stéphane and Suzanne have three daughters: Gabrielle, Alexia, and Raphaëlle. Stéphane has always wanted a son, and he becomes unusually fond of the prospective sons-in-law his daughters introduce to him. He is particularly taken with Thomas, a young rugby player introduced by his youngest daughter, Alexia. When Alexia wants to leave Thomas for a clumsy young doctor, Stéphane strongly objects. His preference for the men his daughters bring into his life sets him at odds with Alexia’s decision.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Stéphane and Suzanne have three daughters: Gabrielle, Alexia, and Raphaëlle. However, Stéphane has always wanted to have a son, so much so that he likes all the prospective sons-in-law his daughters introduce him to more than he should. He is particularly fond of Thomas, a young rugby player introduced to him by his youngest daughter, Alexia. When Alexia wants to leave Thomas for a clumsy young doctor, Stéphane does not take kindly to the idea.
