Le Vent des sables (2024)

In Les Sables-d’Olonne, as skipper Yannick Berthomé prepares for the Vendée Globe race, his sponsor, Théodore Milard, is found murdered: he was struck over the head, tied up, and thrown into the sea. The investigation is assigned to Captain Judith Kamara and Lieutenant Olivier Finet of the Angers SRPJ. Some time later, Patrick Vernet, the lawyer for the Milard company, is found murdered in the same manner. Commander Vallée considers taking the case away from Judith Kamara: she is the widow of skipper Martin Berthomé, Yannick’s younger brother, who died at sea four years earlier during an edition of the Vendée Globe while trying to outdo his brother, with whom he had a fierce rivalry.
